How to Join the Bovine RMP
The initial deadline for application submission has passed. All applications received after December 20, 2019 will be charged a minimum late fee of $500, increasing over time. It's critically important that you join before July 1. This is because we are beginning a survey of our facilities to develop our representative studies. If you enroll after we survey our facilities, you will not be in compliance with the Participation Agreement. That would lead to either an additional penalty or possible refusal of entry into the program if your facility is deemed to not be represented by the group of facilities included in the initial surveyJoining the program is simple and straightforward.
You can download a copy of the membership agreements below and submit it with your registration fee, late fee and annual dues. Beginning in 2020, you will receive an annual invoice for your membership fees ($972 per year for operations with less than 5,000 animal units and $1,300 annually for larger facilities).

Additional FAQ
What fee must I pay to join the Bovine RMP?
To join the Bovine RMP, you must pay a $500 registration fee, a $1,000 late fee for registering after the December 2019 deadline and annual dues of $972 for each year the facility operated under the Bovine General Order (for operations with 5,000 or more animal units, the registration fee is $1,000, the late fee is $1,000 and the annual dues are $1,300). What are animal units and how do I calculate them?
An animal unit equals 1,000 pounds of animal weight. Your bovine feeding operation size, in animal units, is the number you reported to the water board in your Notice Of Intent, Attachment A of the GENERAL ORDER FOR CONFINED BOVINE FEEDING OPERATIONS, R5-2017-0058, accessible here: https://www.waterboards.ca.gov/centralvalley/board_decisions/adopted_orders/general_orders/r5-2017-0058.pdf
You can learn more about how to calculate animal units, if needed, at the Central Valley Water Board’s Frequently Asked Questions section, here: https://www.waterboards.ca.gov/centralvalley/water_issues/confined_animal_facilities/general_order_guidance/bovine/bovine_go_faq.pdf
What will my dues be after I join the program and how do I pay them?
Members will be invoiced once annually, early in each calendar year. Facilities with 4,999 or fewer animal units will be billed $972 annually, while those with 5,000 or more animal units will be billed $1,300 annually. CVDRMP will also collect fees related to the Salt and Nitrate Control Programs. CVDRMP’s board of directors reserves the right to modify fees in the future as needed to carry out the program requirements. Members will be notified in advance of any such changes in fees.
